Pratt & Whitney Secures $1.5 Billion Contract for F-22 Raptor Engine Maintenance

Pratt & Whitney, a leading aerospace manufacturer and a subsidiary of RTX, has been awarded a three-year contract worth up to $1.5 billion to sustain the F119 engines that power the U.S. Air Force’s fleet of F-22 Raptor fighter jets. This significant agreement is aimed at ensuring the continued readiness and operational effectiveness of the aircraft while also focusing on cost reduction and long-term sustainability.

Each engine generates over 35,000 pounds of thrust, allowing the aircraft to reach altitudes of more than 65,000 feet with remarkable speed and agility.
